Does that reservoir on the new shock hit the air intake box on the blaster?
Wish there was more videos like this, that went into great details about how they port and what effects was ECT.
If you want to sell me a la 240 cylinder hit me up
What is the race sag measurement amount the stock blaster shock seams too stiff for me 160lbs so was curious if adjusting the preload would help until I can do the 400ex shock or elkas
You have some dam good tips. Thank you
Why not just fasten it to the head with the actual stud holes?
❤
I have a 240 cylinder and a Vito's head but it has the Yamaha forks that you mentioned so I'm lost now lol
I’m working on a 79 yz250 I seen your video on the 78 do you have a video that shows how to mate the input and out put shafts before installing them in the case? To make sure all the dogs on the slider cogs mate up ect? Thanks !!
Your video sucks
the magic world 32:1 is equal 4 oz per gallon 40:1 same 3 oz per gallon

The clutch bearing is a little different I my case it's not the sealed bearing like in your case does it make a difference?mine is the rite size just can see the bearing ont sealed?hope I said that correctly
To whomst it may concern, I respectfully disagree with using mothers on the exhaust ports, only because I shined my exhaust headers with mothers once, and the heat of the exhaust tube turned the mothers into a paste that became hard as a rock
Do u know if a 400ex motor will fit on a blaster
All the unnecessary tools lmao, you tryna get all these new guys to buy out harbor freight lol 😂 hey guys you really don’t need any of those tools he jus trying to be tool technical and nobody wear gloves to fix motor lol
How are you in 2021? Please update
*Hi need an update from you. Did carbon stick to smooth polished surface ever?* *Thank you.*
Can you run the la cylinder with stroker crank or need ported for that
Do all year 400ex shocks work for this or only the 1st gen years like 99 -04?
After completing this setup from KOR I would like to mention a 15/32 .468 drill size will work for 12 mm .472 after no luck of finding metric bits in my area of the US! Also would like to mention this shock rides extremely close to the stock air box hopefully no one has found an issue with this !!
How good were those holes you put on the basket ? Im trying to make them to but just to put a cover of .5mm stainless steel on the gasket fingers to avoid to much wear on the aluminium! What do you think, sounds good?
.cmon man we need some new vids
Man miss this PLEASE Ken make more. Love these
How much material can I remove from the inner clutch boss casket? .2? I’m referring to the 5 mounting shaft for the pressure plate.
Bless you for sharing your wisdom with us. I just found this video. I am a visual learner and just starting out porting with mu son on chainsaws. I am retired an want to spend time with him. Just an amazing educational video. How can I find more of your instructional educational videos?
I'm lost in my yamaha blaster transmission, I don't have 5th and 6th gear, from 1st to 2nd will shift sometimes, I've got the case split but I've never been this far in. timothyingram924@gmail.com
Hard to find the 12 mm size
This serves to reduce heat into the port tunnel by reducing surface area but really it probably not much else.
We’re can I get the bushings
No. Annealing is when you heat it up and let it cool down very very slowly. Not throwing down on a cold plate. Cooling it down rapidly from a heated state makes it more hard and brittle. To anneal it, heat it up like you did, then back off the torch and continue, then back off more and more and so on. You could even go further with an oven but its good enough.
Not with copper you heat it and cool it dowfast
@@garywhitmerwhitmer6786 Well I have torched pipe and let it sit to cool slowly, and torched pipe and accidentally let it fall over in the snow, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out what makes softer copper. Especially after working copper for 30 years in all conditions. Either way it softens but one way works better. Do whatever you want.
Thanks for the video bud, awesome video, Keep up the great work everyone ☆☆☆☆☆
Could probably make that tool and sell them if no one else does. I know I’m gonna make myself one after seeing how effective it was.
Its better called a flap wheel, its an old machinist secret,or shortcut
That would be 12.25mm away from the aloo-mini-em, for all you RedCoats!
sweet, i love getting awesome tricks like this!
Flitz metal polish
Shouldn't you heat up the cases before you lap them
Hi Sir, I m using yamaha Rx 100 I need a help from you regarding the cylinder I m getting weird sound from the cylinder I don't know why it is I have shown it all the mechanic But der unable to rectify the issue Kindly help
Hi Raghu, How were you able to solve that problem?
Flitz metal polish works really well also.. Thanks for the tips with the split mandrel..
Trying this with a kfx400 shock, just got one for 20 bucks
How'd it go for you?
@@crazycraven420 I ended up trading my blaster for my jeep but I regret not doing it to the other ones I previously had. It’s a night and day difference. I personally ran compression at the softest setting but I only weigh 160
@@cjleh757src6 good deal. I appreciate the reply!
Cool
😎👍
Hi mate Do u still sell the mod kit thanks Glen
The blaster cylinder is notorious for having the piston crown at bdc sticking up into the port opening. What is interesting is a 1mm base plate spacer and 2 gaskets corrects this, and puts the transfer port timing right in line for another 1500 rpm, Rick Kirmil covers this in macdizzy blaster build, even goes as far as giving head specs, turns the anaemic 17hp blaster into a 32hp machine, that requires very little additional work, pipe it, change main jet, and adjust needle position.. run it. Years ago I mimicked his build 3 times for others and had a local shop dyno them all, went from 14-17hp stock to at least 30 horsepower and still ran on premium pump gas.. each build including pipe, boring, piston, spacer, head work, and jetting was very cost effective and done for about 750 dollars, now this was in 2005 dollars. Likely cost more with inflation
Thanks for the info, as a journeyman machinist I like how meticulous you are with checking tolerances. Thanks again these videos will be a big help to my blaster project
Anyone know why I have a screeching sound only in 4th 5th and 6th gear? Maybe bearings?
Absolute genius!!!!
I like the long shank bur can you share the part number.
